The ancient city of Isheri Olofin, Lagos is set to host the presence of who is who in the Yoruba
movie industry and other related industries as the 2016 Edition of the annual “The Achievers
Awards” holds on Sunday August 28th 2016 at the prestigious GloryLand Halls & Suites, Isheri-
Olofin, Lagos.
According to the organizers of the award, the 2016 edition is a complete
revolution which will award over 50 individuals and brands in different categories and sectors.
Highlight of this year’s award shall be the presentation of a Role Model Award to “Prophet Israel
Oladele Genesis”, who also doubles as the Chairman of the event. Also, special recognition and
achievement awards will be presented to the likes of Dr Seye Kehinde(Publisher, City People
Magazine), Olasunkanmi Oluwaseun Kareem, Alao Malaika, Jaiyeola Kuti(Nollywood Actress),
Yemi Solade, Dr Lanre Teriba Atorise(Gospel Artist), Hon. Jonathan Daniel(MD/C.E.O Jodela
Integrated Services), among others.
One of those who have been penciled down to be honoured
at the event is City People Yoruba movie reporter, Gbolahan Adetayo. The Coordinator of the
Award, Ogunrinde Olakunle kayACHIEVER in a statement released on Thursday said, “The
Achievers Awards is a platform to celebrate great achievers who are hardworking and excelling
in their fields of endeavors.
