A statement released by Prof. Abdulrasheed Adeoye, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Unilorin, reads;

“With heavy heart and total submission to the will of the Almighty God, I announce the passing on to higher glory of Prof. Ayo Akinwale, of the Department of the Performing Arts, University of Ilorin. He died today, the 13th September, 2020 at the Unilorin Teaching Hospital.

I got into the industry 2006, that was 14yrs ago. I started with uncle Chico Ejiro in the English Nollywood, then came into Yoruba Nollywood 2010 then I got in as a student under FATUNS films productions(Murphy Afolabi).

The very first movie I acted in was to my credit because it was such a big project from the stable of Chico Ejiro tittled “hundred days in d jungle” and which surprised a lot of people seeing me on air.

ALEJO ORAN is a movie that will teach lots of people who think they can go scott free with whatever they do without thinking that there will surely be a time to face the consequence.

I decided to come up with the idea of this movie because I always love to give people something to learn from.

The family of Lambert Dike, was thrown into a mourning mood last week Friday 5th March 2021, when the spirit of death paid a visit to the family and took away the veteran actor.

According to the information gathered by us, Dike was sick and he traveled back to his village at Orlu, Imo State towards the end of 2020, thinking that he will return to Lagos after he regain his strength.

It is so disheartening to hear that Lambert, who always featured in both Igbo and Yoruba movies breathed his last exactly 8 days to his birthday. His birthday supposed to be tomorrow March 13th, 2021.

It was exactly a year yesterday Saturday 20th March 2021, that a renowned Yoruba movie scripts writer cum actor, Gbenga Ajumoko popularly known as Aju breathed his last.

The highly intelligent entertainer was hospitalized at a hospital in Sagamu Remo, Ogun State where he was diagnosed with Diabetes and Hypertension which later got his 2 kidneys affected.

He was later transferred to a private hospital located at Ibadan Garage, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State where he finally died on March 20st 2020.

To remember the day, association of friends has organized a year Remembrance/ Fidau prayers for his honour. The prayer we exclusively gathered that it will hold at Pointview Hotel, Opposite Fomon Filling Station, Elepe, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos, by 10am today March 21, 2021.
